The Department of Statistics is located within the Maths building which is easy to spot, as it is the tallest building on campus (see picture on the right). The majority of departmental chairs and institutions are located on the seventh floor of the Maths building.

 

How to get here by car

The campus of Technische Universität Dortmund is close to the motorway intersection Dortmund West (A 45 - B 1 / A 40). The conveniently placed motorway exit can be found on the B 1 / A 40 in Dortmund-Barop respectively Dortmund-Dorstfeld and on the A 45 in Dortmund-Eichlinghofen (closer to the South Campus). The university is signposted from all exits.

For travelling to the Department of Statistics, convenient parking places can be found at Vogelpothsweg (Einfahrt 21 / 24) or alternatively at the Otto-Hahn-Straße ( Einfahrten 28 / 30 / 35 )

 

How to get here by train

The Technische Universität Dortmund has its own train station ("Dortmund Universität"). It is within walking distance from the Maths building. From there suburban trains leave for the Dortmund main station (“Dortmund Hauptbahnhof”) and the Solingen main station via the “Düsseldorf Airport train station” (take the S-Bahn number 1 which leaves every 20 or 30 minutes). So the university is within easy reach from Bochum, Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Duisburg and Düsseldorf. During the semester there are additional suburban trains shuttling back and forth between Dortmund and Bochum.
