The idea of this series of workshops is to bring together a group of experts in statistical methods for quality improvement. These workshops were sponsored by the current Collaborative Research Centers of the Department of Statistics, at first by SFB 475 and later by SFB 823 (Statistical modelling of nonlinear dynamic processes). Since the SFB 823 ends with the end of the year 2021, this workshop will be the last in a sequence of 18 workshops starting in 2001. Addidtionally, with this 18th workshop, the retirement of Joachim Kunert is celebrated who was involved in these workshops from the beginning. Hence, the focus of this last workshop is more on design and analysis of experiments and sensometrics.
